There is a beautiful Archeological Museum opposite to the Ruins of Nalanda University where the rare collections of the glorious days can be seen. It is an important place for Nalanda Tours lovers. Two enormous terracotta jars of the first century stand intact behind the museum in a shaded enclosure. The place is an important destination for Jains, particularly for the Digambar sect of the Jains. Digambar Jain followers believe that the 24th and the last Tirthankar, Lord Mahavira was born here. Being linked to Mahavir’s birth place, people built many temples at the place which are major tourist attractions here.

This place is very famous for a famous special sweet called Khaja. It is an extension to Nalanda Tours and Silao is placed between Nalanda and Rajgir.
Xuan Zang Memorial Hall
Nalanda Tourism unfolds this precious place. This is also an international centre for the study of Buddhism established in 1951 and was built by Chinese as a peace pagoda.
The lake with its temple to Surya, the God Sun is a pilgrim destination twice a year in Vaishakha (April-May) and in Kartika (October –November) during the Chhath Puja or Sun Worship.
The temple is primarily dedicated to Sun God. This beautiful temple is located adjacent to the ruins of Nalanda University. Apart from the statues of Hindu God Surya the temple has many statues of Lord Buddha as well.
